On the afternoon of 23 May, the launch ceremony of "Yangtze Delta Self-Driving Forum and the First Taihu Lake-around Outdoors" was held at Wujiang Hotel, which was co-sponsored by Wujiang Cultural Tourism Group and Changxing Cultural Tourism Group. Sixteen groups of representatives from the China Tourism Automobile and Cruise Association Self-Driving Tour, Camping RV Branch, Jiangsu Tourism Association and the Taihu Cultural Tourism State-owned Enterprise Alliance participated in the event. Zhang Binggao, Deputy Head of Wujiang District Government, and Tang Jianguo, Vice President of Jiangsu Tourism Association attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
In December 2019, Wujiang Cultural Tourism Group and Changxing Cultural Tourism Group jointly initiated the establishment of a strategic alliance of 16 state-owned cultural tourism groups around Taihu Lake, for exploring the transformation and upgrading of tourism industry under the new situation and promoting the integration of the resources from cultural tourism state-owned enterprises around the Taihu Lake region. The launch of this event will connect high-quality resources to allow more self-driving enthusiasts to take action, promote economic consumption around the Taihu Lake, better integrate into the national strategy of green ecological development in the Yangtze River Delta and innovate the world-class Taihu travel and self-driving brand.
In the self-driving forum, Lu Jianguo, General Manager of Wujiang Cultural Tourism Group, and Wei Xiaoan, chief expert of the World Tourism Cities Federation and chairman of the China Tourism Association Leisure Vacation Branch, delivered keynote speeches. Fan Jinpei, member of the Party Committee of Wujiang Cultural Tourism Group, and Luo Zhiming, chairman of CCCC Transportation Tourism Investment Development Company Limited, introduced the tourism resources of Wujiang Cultural Tourism Group and project of tourism and residence around Taihu Lake.
Guest representatives from cultural tourism groups, industry associations, tourism platforms and other related fields conducted in-depth exchanges on the theme of "Round Taihu Lake's role in leading the integration of tourism in the Yangtze Delta".
CCCC Transportation Tourism Investment Development Company Limited and Suzhou Wujiang Cultural Tourism Development Group signed an agreement. China Tourism Automobile and Cruise Association awarded Wujiang China Travel a "National Self-driving Tourism Statistics Information Data Collection Point".
As the host of this event, Wujiang Cultural Tourism Group has rich resources and diversified products, and every place become a self-driving camp and destination for the majority of self-driving enthusiasts. Lu Jianguo suggested, “Next, we will always adhere to the development concept of “user + product + experience”, follow the trend, and integrate into the integrated “core circle” of the Yangtze Delta in an all-round way. By establishing the “Wujiang Cultural Tourism Marketing Center” and other forms, We will incorporate Wujiang Cultural Tourism into the Yangtze Delta linkage promotion system, focusing on surrounding cities and attracting employees to recuperate, study trips and other activities, focus on strengthening the contractual cooperation with the Yangtze Delta self-driving institutions and launching self-driving tour customized products.”
The guest representatives visited East Taihu Hotel, Wang Yan Hot Spring, East Taihu Baili Scenic Belt and conducted a self-driving ceremony on 24 May.
