At the following, Mayor Lu listened to the work report of Suzhou Industrial Art Association and discussed the promotion of Suzhou industrial art development and the application for the "China Arts and crafts Expo".
The meeting realized that arts and crafts are the embodiment of a city's cultural value and an important foundation for future city development. With the support of Suzhou municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the Municipal Industry and information Bureau coordinates with Suzhou Arts and Crafts Association and other units to actively serve the industry. At present, Suzhou arts and crafts has a good industrial foundation with a complete range of categories. There are more than 6000 enterprises and workshops related to arts and crafts in the city, 150000 employees, 14 national level masters and 72 provincial level masters, with an annual economic total of more than 20 billion yuan 。Launched "Zigang Cup", "Suyi Cup" Arts and crafts competition and exhibition and other activities, Suzhou arts and crafts in the country's influence continues to increase. However, Suzhou arts and Crafts heritage talent reserve is insufficient, the industrial scale needs to be expanded, and the brand influence needs to be further improved.
At the meeting, the Municipal Bureau of industry and information technology and other relevant departments and associations were required to study together and put forward some suggestions on promoting the better development of Arts and crafts industry around the industrial base, characteristic town, talent training and introduction, market development, auction, finance, tax, environmental protection and other elements involved in the development of Arts and crafts industry, so as to create a better ecological environment for the development of Arts and crafts industry in Suzhou. At the same time, we will earnestly promote the recommendation of Suzhou city level masters and provincial and national level masters.
